The North County Bikeway system includes both multipurpose trails and on-street bikeways to connect key north county facilities with neighborhoods and business districts. A two mile rails-to-trail segment connects the main campus of the University of Missouri St. Louis to downtown Ferguson. From there a 5.8-mile on-street route (striped lanes and share-the-road signing) extends the bikeway to Florissant Valley Community College, the North County Recreation Complex and then onto Lewis & Clark Boulevard. Another “spur” extends along New Halls Ferry to Parker Road and the Florissant Community Center complex. Together the system serves as a premier biking/walking resource for the entire North County region. Services were completed by PDS staff while employees of Parsons, the design firm of record.
