Located on 569 acres of land in west St. Louis County, Queeny Park is a regional park system that offers a unique natural environment along with the Greensfelder Recreation Complex and historic Jarville House. The planning and design team led a visioning study in order to evaluate, confirm and shape the future of both Queeny Park and Greensfelder Recreation Complex for the next 20 years. The study included an analysis of the existing natural systems, present facilities, surrounding neighborhoods, and a five mile service area with a population totaling 278,000 people.

A crucial aspect of the project was gathering input through an extensive public involvement process with a total of four public meetings. The formulation of the plan focused on preservation of the unique natural setting – which includes habitat preservation and interpretive facilities – while still accommodating the necessary active recreation components. The planning services were led by PDS staff while employees of Parsons, the planning firm of record.
