Planning Design Studio was selected to assist the City of Columbia in developing a series of master plans to beautify the significant road and highway entry ways into the City.  The first step in this process included the identification, analysis and recommendation of specific sites to receive the landscape improvements.

Sixteen sites were investigated and evaluated, with four being selected as entryway locations. Landscape master plans were prepared for two of the sites. Additionally, an estimated implementation cost was prepared for the first site along with projected short- and long-term maintenance costs. Landscape standards, guidelines, and a plant palette were prepared for use during final implementation of the project.
