Planning Design Studio has been working with the City of Des Peres since 2014 on various park master planning and park renovation projects. In 2016, the city started working with PDS to update the Des Peres Park master plan. The 42.5-acre park is the city’s flagship park that includes athletic fields restrooms, a picnic pavilion, a lake, a multipurpose court, six tennis courts, walking trails, playgrounds and the site of the Des Peres City Hall. Tasks in the master plan included an assessment of existing conditions, two public input meetings, concepts for improvements, phasing and budget cost estimates.

 
One of the priorities identified in the master plan was the need for renovations to the tennis courts. In 2018, PDS started the site design for the $1.6 million dollar renovation project to replace the existing deteriorated asphalt tennis courts, add pickleball courts, parking and a restroom/storage building and to reconfigure some of the walkways. The new courts feature state of the art post tensioned concrete construction and LED lighting. The post tensioned pickleball courts are standalone courts, which is unique for the Saint Louis area.
