Since 1986, Forest Park Forever – a private nonprofit organization – has restored, maintained, and sustained one of America’s great urban public parks. This project created an improvement plan for amenities along the park’s perimeter dual-use path, as an extension to the 1995 Forest Park Master Plan.

Planning Design Studio utilized extensive site analysis, graphic amenity maps, and user group and public input to design the development plan for this recreational trail.  Stakeholder interviews, a town hall public meeting, and an internet-based user need survey determined the community’s desires for the path. The final document lays out a plan for bridging gaps in the trail’s existing amenities.
