Planning Design Studio created site designs for three play areas as an extension of the Howdershell Park Master Plan we had previously developed.  In an innovative design choice, our team created a fitness obstacle course composed of all-age climbing, ropes course and play structures.  These features, including cargo nets, monkey bars, climbing walls, and rope climbs, are aligned so that they can be run as a course.

In another park area, PDS revamped an existing playground by replacing the wood mulch beneath the equipment with a rubberized, poured-in-place play surface.  Finally, we replaced an aged playground with new play equipment and safety surfacing.  These renovations have transformed this park into a unique destination spot for the community.
