Laclede’s Landing historic district is a collection of brick and cast-iron buildings on cobblestone streets along the Mississippi Riverfront in downtown St. Louis.  Planning Design Studio created a visual master plan for this historic area to intentionally guide future development. 

The master plan’s circulation and road improvements ensure smooth traffic flow as the district develops.  The parking plan increases the district’s visitor capacity, and public realm improvements increase pedestrian amenities and safety.  A proposed mixed-use development program plans for both residential and business growth, laying out recommendations by city block.  Building design requirements ensure that the district’s historic aesthetic will be preserved through new development.
