Landscape Architecture Internship
Position Description
Planning Design Studio (PDS) offers students of landscape architecture the opportunity to participate in paid summer and 8-month internship programs at our St. Louis, Missouri office. Successful candidates will participate in current project work and have the opportunity to work with a group of professionals with significant experience in completing a wide range of project types, including master planning through final design and construction documentation.
Our office is located in downtown Maplewood a historic suburb of St. Louis which is home to the Nation's First Green Dining District, and independent shops that create an exciting and livable community. Our firm emphasizes a creative and process-oriented design approach to develop environmentally responsive, sustainable, and exciting community spaces that exceed client expectations.
Selected interns will be paid a competitive salary while they are working and will be given the opportunity to interact with all staff members. Internship responsibilities will include assisting with design conceptualization, site inventory, photography, plan production, plant selection, sketching, perspectives, rendering (computer or hand), take-offs, CAD drafting and other varied tasks. The goal of our intern program is to provide students with an opportunity that challenges them and strengthens their skills.

Our office is nestled in the charming downtown area of Maplewood, a historic suburb of St. Louis. The neighborhood is home to the Nation's First Green Dining District and many small independent shops that create an exciting and livable community. Coffee shops and lunch spots are all in easy walking distance from the office as well as Sutton Loop Park, a park master plan project that Planning Design Studio had the pleasure of working on.
