Planning Design Studio has developed parks and recreation master plans for many municipalities throughout the Saint Louis region. These plans incorporate public input with the community's needs and desires to create a guide for the development of parks and recreation programming for the upcoming decade. 

 The planning process includes an investigation of existing park conditions, gathering public input, determining needs and developing a program for improvements.  Multiple public meetings, staff meetings, online surveys and stakeholder interviews are conducted to help guide the master planning process. 

PDS focuses on not only addressing existing park needs but also developing ideas for new recreation opportunities that will meet the needs of the park users for years to come. The plans include cost estimates as well as recommendations on project phasing. Graphics are developed that convey the design concepts to the City and the public.
