The Gateway Region YMCA selected Planning Design Studio to lead the design of an all-new Adaptive Sports Complex consisting of a Miracle League Baseball Field, an all-inclusive playground, an expansive multi-purpose field, and a 1/4-mile exercise loop on a portion of their property that was previously occupied by three underutilized baseball fields and a running track. The Miracle League Baseball Field includes two new buildings: a concession and storage building and a restroom building with four individual/family toilet rooms with adult changing tables. Additionally, a storm water basin is located south of the soccer field and exercise loop.

Once the project was completed in June 2024, the Gateway Region YMCA hosted a grand opening for the new sports complex. The Miracle League Baseball Field was named after Paul Goldschmidt of the St. Louis Cardinals at the grand opening.
