Planning Design Studio, serving as a subconsultant to Gray Design Group, provided comprehensive site design services for the major building addition and exterior renovation of the Weissman Theatrical Supplies campus. The project scope included the development of detailed construction documents and construction-period services, ensuring that all site improvements seamlessly complemented the architectural vision for the expanded facility.

 

The redesigned campus celebrates creativity, wellness, and environmental stewardship, transforming the site into a vibrant outdoor environment that enhances the daily experience of both employees and visitors. Extensive landscape improvements create a cohesive and engaging campus identity, incorporating sustainable design practices and a strong connection between the built and natural environments.

 

Some key design elements include a decorative entry plaza, a memorial rose garden, sculptural water features, multiple pathways, a pedestrian bridge, and an expansive pavilion. Additionally, a series of rain gardens were integrated in the design to manage stormwater and provide visual interest.
