Last Saturday, Andrew Franke, Professional Landscape Architect and Founding Principal of Planning Design Studio, had the pleasure of accompanying Dan Billman of DB Horticultural Services LLC and others interested in plants on the first in this year’s series of winter plant walks.
This session covered many different topics, including the identification of specific plant species; a thorough assessment of plant health; and advice on proper care, maintenance, and improvement practices. These plant walks are especially useful during this time of year to truly see the fundamental beauty and traits that make each tree and shrub unique.
Andy is a Certified Arborist which when allied with the profession of landscape architecture brings a more informed level of knowledge to developing various plans for landscape architecture projects.
