Construction Underway on the New Schroeder Park Playground

On Monday, October 21, Planning Design Studio joined city officials and project partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Schroeder Park Playground in Manchester, Missouri. The event marked the start of construction for a major park improvement that will soon bring a vibrant, inclusive play destination to the community.

Designed as a true destination play space, this expansive playground will include a wide range of amenities such as a water play area, zip line, racing slides, perimeter walking path, inclusive swings, multiple seating areas, a large merry-go-round, and interactive musical instruments—creating endless opportunities for play and connection. With construction now underway, the new Schroeder Park Playground is anticipated to open in June 2026.
