Memorial Park Public Meeting Recap

Planning Design Studio cohosted the Memorial Park Public Meeting with the City of Webster Groves on Wednesday, October 29, at the Benny Gordon Recreation Center. The event drew an enthusiastic turnout, with many community members attending to hear the project team’s presentation, view concepts, and share their ideas for the future of Memorial Park.

The planned improvements for Memorial Park aim to enhance both recreation and accessibility while preserving the park’s natural beauty. Potential upgrades include a new outdoor stage/pavilion and skate park.

In addition to Memorial Park, Planning Design Studio is also leading park enhancement efforts at Ivory Crockett Park in Webster Groves. Both projects will follow a similar public engagement process, including two public meetings and an online survey to gather resident feedback. Potential upgrades to Ivory Crockett Park include renovations to the existing restroom facilities, along with the addition of a splashpad and multiple shade structures. The second public meeting for Ivory Crockett Park will take place on Monday, November 17, at 4 p.m., where the design team will present concept plans informed by community responses from the first public meeting and online survey.
