Oak Tree Park Ribbon Cutting

Updated: May 7, 2018

A ribbon cutting event was held in Oak Tree Park located in Brentwood, Missouri on June 10, 2017. The ribbon cutting commemorated the completion of a new combination pavilion and restroom building located in the center of this small neighborhood park. Prior to this project, Planning Design Studio assisted the city by providing a concept design for the revitalization of the entire park. In this first phase of redevelopment, PDS led a team of landscape architects, architects and engineers to design and integrate this building into the context of the surrounding park. This new structure replaced an aging pavilion and added new restrooms to the park’s amenities. Overlooking a newly constructed playground area, the new building adds two restrooms, storage space, drinking fountains, a barbeque grill, and a pavilion space large enough to house four picnic tables. Overall accessibility into and through the park was also improved with the addition of a new parking lot along with updated trails, signs, and bike racks.  The project was funded through a Municipal Park Grant Commission Construction Grant.
