Welcome Rylee!

Planning Design Studio is excited to welcome our newest Landscape Designer, Rylee Zimmerman!

A recent University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduate, Rylee earned her Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture and brings a strong foundation in design, hands-on project experience, and a passion for horticulture and native ecology.

Rylee approaches design with environmental impact and the surrounding ecology at the forefront. She was drawn to landscape architecture because of its ability to strengthen communities and create accessible public spaces where people from all walks of life can connect with nature.

Her passion for connecting people with the outdoors extends beyond the design studio. Rylee established Sensing Nature, an outdoor children's camp focused on teaching children how to use nature as a way to create and experience art. Through this work, she has seen firsthand how nature can spark creativity, curiosity, and community.

Rylee believes that nature is a spark for creativity and connection, and she is excited to bring that spark to the spaces she helps design. We’re thrilled to have her creativity, fresh perspective, and passion for the outdoors on our team.
