Planning Design Studio assisted the City of Brentwood in completing master planning for supplemental enhancements to a portion of the I-64 reconstruction project. A significant and highly visible area along the project was identified by Planning Design Studio and City leaders as having the potential to serve as a major gateway to the community.

Two distinct approaches were represented in initial concepts that explored a wide range of opportunities available to the City. The selected theme includes a grand water feature and mass plantings of native grasses with public art opportunities. The elements work together to create a distinctive signature for the community. Construction documents have been completed for the project and implementation is planned for 2010 and 2011.
